How to share your Airbnb calendar with your cleaner

Five ways to do it, step by step, and what I learned trying most of them.

By Michael Frei, Airbnb host for 5 years and founder of SheetDay. Updated .

Quick answer

On a computer, open your Airbnb Calendar, choose Availability, then under Connect calendars select Connect to another website and copy the Airbnb calendar link. Share it through Google Calendar or a cleaner-friendly link. You can also invite your cleaner as a co-host with Calendar access, use a turnover app like Turno, or text a screenshot.

What I tried, and what I learned

I’ve hosted on Airbnb for five years, and my listing ranks in the top 1% of homes. That wouldn’t be possible without my cleaner. I rely on their reliability, judgment, and care every week.

Throughout my hosting journey I tried four of the five sharing methods, and only one worked for me. What works for you depends on your cleaner and your situation, so I’ll outline each option and offer guidance.

Option 1: Text a screenshot

The simplest way to start, and how I started. It is free, takes a minute, and works on any phone. Sending it by text keeps a personal line open, so you can add notes like an early checkout or a special request, and your cleaner can plan their weeks ahead.

  1. 1In the Airbnb app, open Calendar and pick the listing.
  2. 2Take a screenshot of the month, and the next one.
  3. 3Text it to your cleaner with any notes: early checkouts, late arrivals, special requests.
  4. 4Send a new one every time a booking changes.

What works

  • Free and takes a minute
  • Works with any phone
  • Keeps a personal line open for notes
  • Lets your cleaner plan ahead

The catch

  • Out of date the moment a booking changes
  • Easy to mix up which screenshot is the latest
  • Hard to share with a cleaning team

My experience

My cleaner sometimes could not tell which screenshot was the latest. I resent them often and still texted to confirm. When I switched to a cleaner who runs a team, it got worse: they could not easily pass the screenshots on, and the risk of someone working from an old one was too high.

Option 2: Make your cleaner a co-host

A co-host sees your Airbnb calendar live, so it is always up to date, and every listing they are invited to sits under one login. It is free, and with calendar-only access they can view but not change anything. To set it up, on a computer in Airbnb:

  1. 1Click Listings and select the listing.
  2. 2Under Listing editor, click Your space.
  3. 3Click Co-hosts, then Invite a co-host.
  4. 4Add your cleaner’s phone number or email and click Next.
  5. 5Choose Calendar access and click Next.
  6. 6Add a note if you like, then review and click Send.

What works

  • Always up to date, straight from Airbnb
  • Your cleaner sees every listing they are invited to in one login
  • They can view the calendar but not change it
  • Free

The catch

  • Your cleaner needs an Airbnb account and the app
  • You repeat the invite for each listing and each team member, up to 10 per listing
  • Covers Airbnb bookings only, not Vrbo or Booking.com
  • You still need to text when plans change

My advice is to give each person their own invite, so you can remove anyone later without changing everyone’s access.

Option 3: Share a Google Calendar

A great fit if your cleaner already lives in Google Calendar. It is free and updates on its own. Several calendars can show together in one view. It works on a phone, on the web, and on paper.

The setup needs a computer. The Google Calendar phone app cannot add a calendar from a link. You also need your Airbnb calendar link first: here is how to find it.

Part 1: Add your Airbnb calendar to Google

  1. 1Open Google Calendar in a browser on a computer.
  2. 2In the left sidebar, click the + next to Other calendars.
  3. 3Select From URL.
  4. 4Paste your Airbnb calendar link and click Add calendar.
  5. 5Repeat for each listing, and for Vrbo or Booking.com.

Part 2: Share it with your cleaner

  1. 1In the left sidebar, point at the new calendar and click the three dots.
  2. 2Choose Settings and sharing.
  3. 3Under Share with specific people, click Add people.
  4. 4Enter your cleaner’s email, choose See all event details, and click Send.
  5. 5Your cleaner accepts the email invite. If the calendar does not show in their phone app, they open the app’s menu and tick the box next to it.

What works

  • Free and updates on its own
  • Blends several calendars into one view
  • Works on a phone, on the web (or can even be printed)

The catch

  • Google checks the link only every 12 to 24 hours, with no refresh button
  • A same-day booking can reach your cleaner too late
  • Your cleaner needs a Google account
  • Bookings show as “Reserved” blocks, so your cleaner works out the checkout days
  • Setup is fiddly for anyone who is not comfortable with tech

My experience

My cleaner is wonderful, but tech is not their strong suit. Walking them through adding a calendar from a link was never going to be a good use of either of our time.

Option 4: Use a turnover app like Turno

The most complete option, and the right one if you do not have a cleaner yet or run a complex operation. Turno, the biggest, connects to your booking calendars and creates cleaning jobs on its own. It adds photo checklists, in-app payments, and a marketplace of rated cleaners for when you need a new one or a backup. It is free for one property.

  1. 1Create a Turno account and add your properties.
  2. 2Connect your Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com calendars.
  3. 3Invite your own cleaner, or search its marketplace for one.
  4. 4Your cleaner accepts jobs and completes checklists in the Turno app.

What works

  • A marketplace of 126,000+ cleaners, handy if you need a new one or a backup
  • Automatic scheduling from your booking calendars
  • Photo checklists to confirm the work
  • Inventory, maintenance and cleaner ratings
  • Pays cleaners through the app, with 24/7 support

The catch

  • Your cleaner needs an account and the app
  • Built around assigned tasks, which some experienced cleaners dislike
  • $10 per property per month with your own cleaner, once you have 2 or more
  • Payment fees if you pay through the app: 1.5% to 3.9% for your own cleaner, 5% to 8% for marketplace cleaners, plus 5% taken from the marketplace cleaner’s pay

Turno is free for one property, and free for any number if you only use its marketplace cleaners. Prices and fees from Turno’s pricing page and help center, checked September 2026.

My experience

This would not work for my cleaner. When a simple online service we used shut down, I mentioned we might need a new app with a login. I could sense the sigh through the text. They said their son could maybe help. I also believe a trusted cleaner values their independence and the right to make judgment calls. A task-driven app takes some of that away.

Option 5: Share one simple link

This is where I landed. A cleaner-friendly link turns your booking calendars into one page your cleaner opens from a text. No app, no account, no password. It is always current, easy to read, and one link covers the whole team and all your listings. I built SheetDay to do exactly this after the service I used shut down.

  1. 1Start a free trial and paste your Airbnb calendar link.
  2. 2Add Vrbo or Booking.com links too, if you have them.
  3. 3Add property notes, like where the spare linens are.
  4. 4Copy your cleaner link and text it to your cleaner.
  5. 5Your cleaner saves it to their phone’s home screen or bookmarks it. It works in English or Spanish.

What works

  • Always up to date, checked every hour
  • Easy to read: checkout days, next arrival, same-day turnovers highlighted
  • Easy to share: a team lead forwards one link to the whole crew
  • No guest names or prices
  • Optional reminder emails the day before a checkout, to you and your cleaner
  • $14.90 a month for up to 3 properties, less than per-property pricing

The catch

  • Costs money after the 7-day trial
  • A booking made in the last hour may not show yet, but you can refresh anytime
  • No marketplace, payments or checklists

My experience

It works for us because it keeps the relationship the way it was. I still text my cleaner whenever I learn about an early checkout or a late arrival, which is often at short notice. The link just means those texts are about what changed, not the whole schedule. The same link also works for anyone else who needs to know when the place is occupied.

Which one to choose

  • One cleaner, bookings rarely change? Screenshots are fine.
  • Cleaner already uses Airbnb? Invite them as a co-host.
  • Cleaner lives in Google Calendar and you book well ahead? Share a Google Calendar.
  • No cleaner yet, or you want checklists and in-app payments? Try Turno.
  • A trusted cleaner or team who will not install anything? Share one simple link.

The part no tool replaces

Whatever you choose, keep talking to your cleaner. My operation depends on them, so a clear calendar and an open line of conversation are both essential. The calendar handles the dates. You keep them informed and show your appreciation.

Common questions

Can I share my Airbnb calendar without giving account access?
Yes. Every listing has an export link in Airbnb under Calendar, then Availability, then Connect calendars, then Connect to another website. Sharing that link, or a page built from it, needs no co-host invite and no access to your account.
Does my cleaner need an app or an account?
It depends on the method. A Google Calendar share needs a Google account. A co-host invite needs an Airbnb account. Turno needs a Turno account and app. A screenshot or a cleaner-friendly link needs neither.
Will my cleaner see guest names?
No. Airbnb removed guest names from the export link in 2019. The raw link still includes a link to each reservation and the last 4 digits of the guest's phone number, so a page built for cleaners should show dates only.
How often does the Airbnb calendar link update?
The link itself is live, but every app that reads it checks on its own schedule. Airbnb checks the calendars you import every 3 hours. Google Calendar checks roughly every 12 to 24 hours, and you cannot force it. SheetDay checks every hour, and you can refresh it anytime.
Why is my new booking not showing in Google Calendar?
Google Calendar reads the link on its own timing, often only once or twice a day, and has no refresh button. The booking is in Airbnb, Google just has not looked yet. For same-day bookings, text your cleaner.
How do I share the schedule with a cleaning team?
Screenshots get forwarded and go out of date. A co-host invite has to go to each person, up to 10 per listing. A cleaner-friendly link is the easiest: the team lead forwards the same link, and everyone sees the current schedule.
Is Turno free?
Turno is free for one property, and free for any number of properties if you only use cleaners from its marketplace. With your own cleaner and two or more properties, it costs $10 per property per month. Paying cleaners through the app adds fees, as of September 2026.
Is it safe to share my Airbnb calendar link?
Treat it like a password. Anyone with the link can see your booked and blocked dates. Sharing a page built from it keeps the original link private.
Do I still need to text my cleaner?
Yes, and I think you should. The calendar covers the dates. Texts cover early checkouts, late arrivals and anything special. The calendar just means those texts are about what changed, not about the whole schedule.
Does this work with Vrbo and Booking.com?
Yes. Both publish the same kind of export link, so the same options apply. The steps to copy each link are in our Vrbo and Booking.com guide.
